January 2026 Activity Calendar: A Strong Start to the New Year

January 2026 Activities

January is about settling back into routine, staying connected, and keeping both mind and body active—and our January 2026 Activity Calendar does exactly that. This month at Riverview Adult Day Health Center is packed with familiar favorites, seasonal fun, and plenty of chances to laugh, learn, and socialize.

We begin the month easing back in after the holiday closures, then quickly get moving with daily chair exercise, which remains a cornerstone of our program. Staying mobile and active—no matter the season—has always mattered, and we keep that tradition strong all month long.

Games, Trivia, and Friendly Competition

From Bingo, UNO, Dominoes, Pictionary, Kerplunk, and board games, there’s no shortage of classic activities that encourage interaction and sharpen thinking skills. Trivia lovers will enjoy themes like Railroad Trivia, Tea & Trivia, Golden Girls, Broadway Bob, and Football Fill-In-The-Blank—all designed to spark memories and conversation.

Celebrations & Special Days

We’re leaning into January’s lighter side with special observances like Bean Day, Soup Day, Coin Day, Dragon Day, National Pie Day, Gourmet Coffee Day, and Serendipity Day. Birthday celebrations for Nancy and Manuel give us a reason to sing, smile, and honor our participants the old-fashioned way—with recognition and good company.

Creative and Hands-On Fun

Creativity stays front and center with flower crafts, cutting snowflakes, creative canvas painting, soup label collage, and even baking a cake on Spa Day. These hands-on activities keep fine motor skills sharp and offer a satisfying sense of accomplishment.

Faith, Fellowship, and Familiar Comforts

Weekly church services remain part of our schedule, offering spiritual support and continuity many participants value. Activities like tea & cookies, soda fountain day, and watch Wednesday bring comfort through simple pleasures that never go out of style.

Ending the Month on a High Note

We close January with upbeat events like Fun at Work Day, Freethinkers Day, and group games that reinforce teamwork and positive interaction. It’s a strong finish to a month built on structure, variety, and genuine care.

At Riverview, we believe consistency matters, traditions matter, and people matter most. January’s calendar reflects that belief—steady, engaging, and welcoming to everyone we serve. We’re proud of the program we run and the community we continue to build together.
